Heinz: Ketchup Caviar

If you’ve ever been in a fancy restaurant and wanted to ask for ketchup but knew the waiter would shame you, even with just their eyes, you’re not alone. Ketchup is great, and yes, some say it’s sacrilegious to put it on many foods, but you know what? It tastes good! Don’t let anyone tell you what condiments should or should not go on your food.

However for some, even the highest caliber ketchup could use a fancy upgrade. For those people — the true kings, queens and french fry aficionados among us — Heinz created a new product just for them. Ketchup Caviar.

Just like liquid ketchup, the product can be used to top hamburgers, hot dogs, potatoes and more. Just think of the world as your oyster, and Heinz Ketchup Caviar as your pearl.

Ketchup Caviar tastes just like Heinz Tomato Ketchup because it’s literally just ketchup! The company teamed up with “caviar specialists” to ensure that the brand’s classic flavor and consistency remained after being formed into a caviar-like shape using a molecular gastronomy technique.

Leading up to Valentine’s Day, we wanted to celebrate this take on ketchup, and give away 150 jars (to celebrate Heinz’s 150-year anniversary) to our top fans. Dubbing the promotion a “ValenHEINZ to remember,” we turned to Twitter to see which ketchup fans wanted it the most — so they could celebrate with their loved one, or enjoy over a candlelight dinner for one.

So don’t even worry about getting flowers, OK?
